Assistant Store Managers will be responsible for daily involvement in the store’s operations including handling keys, cash and balancing, opening and closing daily duties, working registers, supervising employees, participating in events and inspection and working with other areas and departments of the store. Retail Sales Consultant (Baronne Street)

Martin Wine Cellar is now accepting resumes and applications for Retail Sales Consultants for who are interested in working at our new Baronne Street location. The target reopening date for this store is mid-November 2014. The store will offer a selection of American and imported wines, spirits and beer along with a full service bistro/deli, catering, cheese and meats, gourmet foods, gift baskets and wine merchandise. The Sales Consultant position requires in depth wine and wine region knowledge. Applicants must have the ability and desire to sell our products and build a solid customer base/relationships. Duties include assisting customers on the floor or by phone/email with their purchases, participate in company and store events, host tastings and seminars, and assist in other areas of the store as needed. Pay & Hours: This is a salaried position with benefits. The store will be open seven days a week with various schedules required. Education & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. BISTRO & DELI ASSISTANT MANAGER (BARONNE STREET)

Martin Wine Cellar is now accepting resumes and applications for Assistant Restaurant Managers for who are interested in working at our Bistro/Deli in our new Baronne Street location. The target reopening date for this store is mid-November 2014. Assistant Managers are will aid in the oversight of all aspects of the bistro/deli and catering operations with the Bistro/ Deli Manager. Responsibilities include: providing excellent customer service, managing inventory control, expediting, running registers, taking orders, planning parties, assisting in food preparation and cross training in other restaurant areas. They participate in all aspects of employee relations including hiring, training, scheduling, labor costs, supervision, annual reviews, etc… Additionally, Assistant Managers actively participate in store promotions and company-sponsored community events. CATERING PREP AND COOK (BARONNE STREET)

Martin Wine Cellar provides catering and Deli/Bistro service for dining-in, gourmet-to -go, private parties, weddings, in store events, community events and more. These positions will be responsible for deli and catering preparation including following recipes for catering and other Bistro/Deli menu items and assisting Chefs and Kitchen Staff as needed. We are looking for candidates with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, reliability, creativity and the ability to follow recipes.  Expected to maintain high health code, safety and operation practices.  Pay & Hours: This is an hourly position and benefits are provided for Full Time employees after 60 days. Job responsibilities include menu development, food preparation, inventory control, product ordering, company and state health compliance, kitchen safety, organization, etc… Chefs are required to participate in company and customer functions. GOURMET CHEESE COUNTER CLERK (Baronne Street)

The target reopening date for this store is mid-November 2014. We are looking for candidates to assist and educate customers with artisan cheese, meats, salmon and pâté and who have a strong interest in cheese/gourmet food and food and wine pairings. Responsibilities include maintaining the cheese, pâté and meat cases; ordering products as assigned; cutting, wrapping and pricing items; producing cheese, catering and gourmet plates/platters. Duties also include daily opening and closing procedures, cleaning, inspections and maintaining inventory. Pay & Hours: This is an hourly position and benefits are provided for Full Time employees after 60 days. The store will be open seven days a week with various schedules required. Experience: Experience in slicing and knowledge of cheese is a PLUS.
