TINTO NEGRO CABERNET FRANC UCO VALLEY 2014

WotW-04242017

“Tinto Negro, or ‘black wine’ is a Mendoza winery in Uco Valley, Southeast of Mendoza. The region is perfect for big red wines, what with its high elevation, limestone-y soils, natural irrigation from the Andes mountains, and limited rainfall. Higher elevation makes for a smoother tannin, resulting in a rich, velvety mouth feel, and smooth chocolate where you might expect spicy pepper. The Cab Franc is an intensely floral example of the unique wines that come from this region, proving that Malbec isn’t the only great grape of Argentina!”
