Cooking with the Wine Guys

Thursday, March 19th • 6:00-8:00 PM • 714 Elmeer Avenue, Metairie • $50 per person

Join Wine and Spirits Consultants Jeff Hirstius and Andrew Dike in the Metairie Deli for a Fun and Informative evening of Cooking Demonstrations and Wine Pairings. We will start things off with a taste of bubbly to get our palates ready.  The Wine Guys will then take turns demonstrating a few of their favorite dishes from their home kitchens. After the demo, the Martin Kitchen will dish up their recipes to all the attendants. While everyone has their mouths full, Andrew and Jeff will get in a word edgewise about the wines paired with their plates.

A Stroll Through Southern France

With Thousands of different wines produced in France annually it is no wonder that selecting French wines can be a bit intimidating. Navigating the wine shop shelves for a French wine to complement a Sunday evening cassoulet can be a fun-filled experience if you are armed with a little French wine knowledge. This tasting will focus on the Côtes du Rhône, Languedoc-Roussillon and all of the regions in-between. The reception style tasting will showcase fifteen French reds, whites, and roses. Steve Perret and Margie Stoughton will be your tour guides to the south of France. Anchor Brewing Company Beer Tasting

Friday, April 10th • 6:30-8PM • 2895 Highway 190, Mandeville • $35 per person

Please join us in Mandeville to experience eight different beers from Anchor Brewing Co. Located on Potrero Hill in San Francisco, Anchor Brewing Co. is one of America’s oldest breweries. The tasting will be guided by Craft Brands Manager of Southern Eagle, Vanessa Gomes.
